For those seeking the "Grand Slam Experience" without the benefit of a PGA Tour Card or exclusive private club membership, there's a pretty darn good 'imitation' just a short drive away -- Renditions Golf Course in Davidsonville, Maryland. Renditions opened its tee boxes in early May, offering public golfers a chance to play legendary golf holes without sacrificing a lung to receive the privilege.

Jeff Sheehan, Renditions' General Manager, says the brand new golf course offers "Golf's Grand Slam Experience" by replicating eighteen famous golf holes from legendary courses in the United States and British Isles … all of which have played host to at least one of golf's four majors. Not to mention the Players Championship, known widely as golf's fifth major, if there was one.

"We thought it was a great idea to take some great, time-tested, classic holes from famous golf courses and combine them into one facility, where anyone can come and play. We're offering the opportunity to play simulations of Augusta National's Amen Corner, the 17th hole at the TPC Sawgrass and three links-style British Open holes (amongst others) all in one golf round," Sheehan adds.

Each tee box at Renditions features a sign detailing the history of the hole. Renditions' #17 is a replica of Winged Foot's #7, a 166 yard par three.

Nothing quite like walking the bridge over Rae's Creek to Augusta National's #12 green.

You'll never garner from TV just how severe Augusta National's #13 green is -- but you'll find out at Renditions.

Take aim at TPC Sawgrass' #17, but judging by the number of golf balls in the water on Renditions' #13, not many average golfers hit the target.
